Lunch with Alicia, Thijs and cousin Anya

I made a big pot of vegetable soup so I decided to share some with Alicia and make a little visit as well with Thijs. Their little cousin Anya was visiting for awhile so I got to meet her too. Alicia said that Thijs really holds his head up well now so I took a couple of pictures of him on his changing table holding his head up.

He makes it look so easy.

Babysitting Overnight with Thijs

I got to spend some bonding time with Thijs this weekend. His parents asked me to babysit while they went out to a party held by Matt's work company, Sonesta Hotels. Thijs and I really bonded well and had a great time. He was a very good boy and he loves to play and cuddle. Here are a few pictures I took. Some of the videos may be dark because I forgot to put more lights on in the room.

Wall of Family Fame

I couldn't resist putting up pictures of our cute little grandchildren.
Both are so expressive. I have them hanging on our back porch so
we can see them as we sit out there watching TV etc. Here's a
snapshot of the photos.

Mémère and Grandpa babysit Madeleine

Once again we were able to care for Madeleine while her parents went for an appointment. Only this time she slept until her parents came back home. She slept for about 3 hours. Ray and I kept busy with reading etc. but we were anxious to see and play with Madeleine. We did manage to take a few pictures of her. She's growing fast. She's so cute and expressive. We love her.

She loves playing with all her new toys.

Unexpected visit from Thijs and his Dad

Thijs and his Dad showed up around
lunch time so I got to feed Thijs.

He drank all his milk like a big boy. Now he can
relax on his Mémère.

Grandpa got to hold and chat with Thijs too.

Wednesday afternoon with Alicia and Thijs

Last Wednesday I visited with Alicia and Thijs at their home in Newburyport, Ma. Alicia and Thijs had just come back from a new exercise program for Moms and babies. Thijs was a little tired so he was sleeping in his swing when I arrived. He looked so peaceful. Alicia hadn't eaten lunch yet so she had some of my homemade Chinese Chop Suey. I had brought a little bit for her to try along with some honeybell tangerines we had received as a gift from a friend in Florida. We chatted a while and did some crafts until Thijs woke up. He stretched and got changed and off we went for a walk around downtown Newburyport and on the boardwalk. Cali (the dog) came along with us. We had a lovely brisk walk and Thijs managed to fall asleep again. Here are a couple of pictures from my visit.

he got his diaper changed.

Happy New Year to Madeleine

Today Ray and I babysat Madeleine while her parents went out to Home Depot. She was a well behaved baby while they were gone. We played, sang and watched the Rose Bowl parade on TV.
